About the Children's Music School

Children respond naturally to music – they love to sing, dance and play musical games.

The Children’s Music School works with this instinctive drive, building confidence, enriching learning and developing creativity.

With themed music workshops children (and parents) are introduced to a set of musical elements through songs, games, movement and more. New found skills are worked with in such a way as to foster understanding and creativity, laying down secure musical foundations.
Working in a small group setting provides the perfect opportunity to watch and learn from each other, take turns, perform and have ideas listened to and appreciated. Confidence grows and joy is experienced in the art of music making.

Workshops are progressive, so when you and your child are ready, next steps can be taken with appropriate classes.

‘I really like the way Fiona builds up music so the children understand it fundamentally’ (James, parent)

Classes are always fun and tailored to the children’s needs. Our son has learnt so much, without even realising he is learning!

Workshops will also be available for older children (coming soon) which will include musicianship skills, introduction to the recorder, playing in an ensemble and more.
